Gregor Stolarczyk & Jovana Fa Tomic, EEN-colleagues at EEN NRW, can you give us some insight regarding the German Packaging industry?
- According to our partner – German Packaging Institute - there are a total of 400,000 jobs in around 20,000 multinational corporations, medium-sized and small companies. The economic output of the packaging industry in Germany occupies an important position with a production volume of around 200 billion packs and an annual turnover of almost 37 billion euros. Due to demographic developments and the mobilization of living and consumer conditions, the packaging industry is a growth market. The growth has averaged 3% for years. In addition, there is the production of the world's leading German packaging machine manufacturer and the packaging services of the consumer goods industry.
Why should Swedish companies within the packaging industry sign up for this event?
- The answer to that question is very simple – to meet their future partners from abroad. Our sole aim is to bring people together, in order for them stay in touch with the latest developments in the field, to cooperate, innovate, grow together and strive for European excellence.
What is important in form of preparations for the Swedish companies?
- They need to register on the event website, sign up for the sessions to their liking and fill out their profiles as detailed as possible. The profiles are the best place to describe the nature of their business and thus attract other participants. "Marketplace" is where companies can present their offer or request in a detailed manner. By scrolling through the marketplace, they can also easily identify companies of their interest and book one on one meetings with them.
